Julia Marczuk-Macidłowska is a Polish composer and pianist specializing in contemporary music. A classically trained award-winning performer and composer, she has received numerous distinctions in international piano and composition competitions. She has performed at venues across Europe and the United States, both as a soloist and in collaboration with other artists. Her compositional practice spans acoustic and electroacoustic music, multimedia projects, and interdisciplinary collaborations with filmmakers, visual artists, and performers.
A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Julia is currently studying composition under Prof. Dariusz Przybylski, with a concentration in electronic, film, and theater music. She also holds degrees in law and philosophy from the University of Warsaw. Her work, often inspired by literature, philosophy, psychology, and visual arts, frequently integrates acoustic and electroacoustic elements with multimedia.
Beyond composing and performing, Julia is actively involved in artistic event coordination and cultural programming. As a co-founder of Collectif4, a foundation dedicated to promoting contemporary music and interdisciplinary collaborations, she organizes concerts, festivals, and experimental projects.

Collectif4 is a foundation dedicated to the development and promotion of contemporary art in all its forms, through concerts, exhibitions, multimedia events, and workshops. Founded by four artists and friends - Julia Marczuk-Macidłowska, Bartosz Mularski, Włodzimierz Żukowski and Barbara Zach - it brings together creators specializing in composition, improvisation, visual arts, and performance to explore new artistic expressions. As a non-profit, Collectif4 strives to make contemporary music accessible to all while supporting emerging artists through collaborations with cultural institutions and independent organizations.
